Parikh’s Textbook of Medical Jurisprudence, Forensic Medicine and Toxicology for Classrooms and Courtrooms has been revised keeping in mind the medical students, teaching classrooms and the courtrooms, as in the earlier editions, while retaining the unique flavour of the original book and the 'questions and answers' format. Parikh's Textbook has been popular for many decades in view of the references to the Indian scenario and the content written to the satisfaction of the students. The lawyers preparing their briefs and posing questions to the witnesses will find various questions with answers that help them immensely. The salient features continue to include recent changes replacing Medical Council of India by National Medical Commission, recognition of the same gender sex as a non-crime among consenting individuals, and other related issues which have been succinctly described.
